Loss Mitigation Specialist (Foreclosure & Mortgage Servicing)

Job Description

A well-established financial services organization supporting community financial institutions is expanding its Mortgage Servicing team. This role supports loss mitigation and foreclosure operations and is ideal for someone with hands-on mortgage servicing experience who thrives in a guidelines-driven environment.

What You'll Do

  • Support loss mitigation and foreclosure servicing activities in accordance with investor, insurer, and client guidelines
  • Review and process loan modifications, forbearances, repayment plans, short sales, and deeds-in-lieu
  • Submit and track loss mitigation requests with investors and mortgage insurers
  • Monitor trial payment plans and update servicing/investor systems
  • Communicate with borrowers, real estate agents, and internal teams regarding file status
  • Maintain accurate documentation and meet required response timelines

Senior-Level Opportunity Available

More experienced candidates may assist with training, vendor coordination, delinquency reporting, credit bureau corrections, and complex borrower resolutions.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-3 years of experience in residential loss mitigation / foreclosure servicing
  • (3-5 years for senior consideration)
  • Working knowledge of FHA, FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, VA, USDA guidelines
  • Familiarity with AllRegs and mortgage servicing platforms (Sagent preferred)
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, compliance-focused environment

Role Details

  • Pay: $21.00 - $25.27/hour (based on experience)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Location: New Brighton, MN
  • Type: Temp-to-Hire
